Yeah I've been using roaches/hydras but I just discovered how good infestor can be and I'm going to try to use banelings more as well.

Buring your banelings out of the way and then luring your opponents mass tier 1 army into a huge banelings rush is definitely fun. Also, if you're going for early mass roaches and you're playing against T or P and you see them building for marauders or immortals switch to Hydras and tech up, use them to get to handle those and use your roaches for everything else.

Anyone use Broodlords in online play?

I've been testing things against the AI and surviving with fastlings/infestors while teching to Broodlords works well against AI, but I don't know how it would work in ranked matches.

Most games won't last to the point where you can really get broodlords out.

Just started on the single player. If I dig it I'll probably buy the game. How is online play? Any kind of rankings where you play people at your difficulty, etc?

When you start online you play 5 placement matches for whatever mode you're doing, 1v1, 2v2 random teams, 2v2 arranged teams (have to play new matches for each new partner) etc and your results put you in a league. Copper (0-5, 1-4), Bronze (2-3), Silver (3-2), Gold (4-1) or Platinum (5-0). You play other people in your league and gain and lose points based on your record. Get enough points and you move up leagues, lose enough and you move down.

That sounds pretty awesome actually. Thanks for the info.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
