George Seifert/John Fox/Mike Smith

Coach A has two Super Bowl victories to his credit, each with a different quarterback, and both were blowout victories. He also has a couple of championship game losses. Until his final season, his winning percentage was the highest in NFL history.

Coach B has one Super Bowl loss to his credit, and one loss in the NFC Championship.

I bet if you took a poll on this board as to which coach is/was better, Coach B would get 95 percent of the vote.

Now turn it around...

Coach B did a wonderful job turning around his team and developing his rookie quarterback as a rookie head coach.

If you held the same poll, I bet Smith would get close to 50 percent of the vote.

Perspective is a funny thing.

If Foxwas fired I would get a little excited.

With the Players on the O-line and our RB's we will win a lot of games no matter who our coach is.

(i.e. atlanta)

I think Fox even at 12-4 is getting old around here. I was watching Mike Tomlin on the sidelines in todays game and I was just thinking about Fox's interviews, and just thought for a second what it would be like to have a coach who isnt always luke warm.

I think Fox is an 8-8 coach who rides the wave(or talent) as far as it will take him. I dont see him going any where and that makes me a little sad. This is the same guy who wouldnt start Williams over Foster.

This.

I think he doesn't say too much because he truly doesn't know that much, therefore he doesn't want to make himself look stupid.(even though he takes care of that plenty on the sidelines)

    • I knew very little about this player before we drafted him. When I read scouting reports about him I understood the pick and thought it made sense as a late round receiver with speed and special teams ability but after watching him more closely and now adding his interviews into the equation I'm actually really excited about him. I know it's just RMC but I noticed him running his routes with this extra step that really stood out to me during the general video posted earlier without realizing who it was doing that.  His speed in his first cut is just on another level and it's visible. When I saw it I was **** whoa, who was that?! Then I saw Horn JR. and my first thought was oh it's him. I think it's very possible that he was under appreciated going into the draft due to his height and stats because he played at Colorado where the attention was on 2 other players but I think this dude's ceiling is way higher than most think it is. Especially after watching his interview. He looks hungry. I may have found my fav rook for this year's pre-season. I like pulling for underdogs anyway and as someone who played on the small side myself it just gives me more reason to cheer for him. The competition at WR looks like it's going to be fierce this season. I honestly can remember any preseason where I looked at out wr group and got past 3 players who I thought were interesting but this season I'm interested in at least 5 who have my attention going into the season.
    • Wilson should be getting called for at least 3 penalties a night even in the post season. How does he not lead the NHL in PM???
