Cats gonna pound,

Cats gonna pound,

Lookin' like a fool, when the cats gonna pound.

Gettin' rolled in the south,

Cats turn ya' sideways,

Cats gonna pound.

Thinkin' you can fool cats,

Better know the rules,

Comin' round south when them cats gonna pound.

Rawr it up, hey!

Watch them cats gonna pound!

Better know the rules,

Comin' round south when them cats gonna pound.

Rawr it up, hey!

Watch them cats gonna pound!

Better know the rules 'cause them cats gonna pound.

You guys are right. We need something more steeped in tradition. I've modified our current fight song:

Stand and cheer for the Panthers,

Unless you came to see another team,

Then root, root root for your own guys,

'Cause there's just no sense in being mean!

Carolina!

Stand and cheer for the Panthers,

But be quiet when you do,

Nothin' could be finer,

Than to be in Carolina,

Unless someone's cheering in front of you!

Matt Moore under center, a new era has begun

Now it's finally time to start, our championship run

When it's all said and done, we'll be on top

And see the Saints in the cellar, just watch them drop

Cuz we the cats of the south, fug A-T-L

We got huge corporations, all they got is prison cells

I don't mean to dwell, but what about them BUCS?

Are words even needed? those chumps fuging SUCK

So to the NFC SOUTH, the Panthers on the rise

We won't quit till we got our hands on that PRIZE

    • The Panthers did a great job of countering the Falcons' pass rush in the run game. They utilized veteran wideout David Moore, a good run blocker on the perimeter, as the motion man to help with crack-toss plays and trap blocks. It was also interesting to see more Sean McVay wide zone concepts in Canales’ version, especially with the “insert” concept that is a table in these systems.   Second-year cornerback Chau Smith-Wade didn’t come out of the gates hot, but settled in and put forth a fine performance. His spacing in zone coverage tightened up and it began to have an impact later on—like on his pick-six of quarterback Michael Penix Jr. He also showcased good matching capabilities while having some impressive man reps and tackles in space. You have to appreciate how well Ejiro Evero’s defense rallied to the football. Some runs that would, in the past, go for chunk yardage were contained. Tackling was improved on all three levels of the field. Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was once again the leader in receiving yards (48) on Sunday, but he struggled away from the box score with a couple of drops. As head coach Dave Canales noted Monday afternoon, the Falcons did a great job staying in phases on McMillan, especially at the top of routes. Rookie safety Lathan Ransom showed more flashes of control as a tackler. He continues to show the physicality that is needed in Evero’s defense while having the athleticism and downhill burst to click and close sideline to sideline or north/south. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/09/23/panthers-film-review-falcons-week-3/86308214007/
    • Horn + Jackson + Smith-Wade might be the best CB trio we've had in a minute.
    • I think we would have had a good shot. I believe at the time we had already traded for the first overall pick, so Baltimore could have then immediately get whatever replacement they wanted for Lamar in the draft or trade for someone else. I still am baffled we were one of the teams that put out that ridiculous statement about not pursuing Lamar.   Yeah, let’s not trade for the franchise carrying, mvp winning, all pro top 5 qb in league to help take this franchise higher places. They should have at least tried. They were willing to go all in on Watson but not Lamar, I don’t understand Tepper.
