The Nick Hayden Project...

You think it's finally over? He has been injured and I haven't heard one thing about him since camp started. It's odd too bc last year he started several games and this year he will probably get cut yet we are supposed to have a "worse" group of DT's???

I'm not nearly as worried about the dline as some in the media. I think they will be better than advertised, but then again that wouldn't be much.

When he was drafted he was the "strongest" DT in that draft class.

I think the idea was to bulk him up, give him work with his Point of Attack skills, and make him into a Carstens Clone. A decent at everything/ the starter needs a breather / 10 snaps a game kind of player. Problem is he got pushed into the lineup early and beat like a drum. Fox love charity cases that work hard, so I wouldn't be surprised if he lingers around longer than expected.

I have gave the guy more flak than most of ya put together.

But he was a damn hard worker and never stepped down from the challenge.

We are so quick to dismiss talents, only to cry like bitches when they succeed somewhere else in a scheme that fits their talents better.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
