Dwayne Jarrett

If he has a QB that can squeeze passes in that tiny window he offers due to his extreme lack of separation then he will do just fine.

He has great hands he just terrible at everything else. His camp hasn't been very impressive either.

I sure hope he turns it on but I grow more and more hopeless every day.

Just my opinion here but I think he goes for around 1000 yards and at least 8 TDs this year.

Now watch him get cut this afternoon.

i would be fine with that actually happening, that would mean smith would have about 1400 yards and 16 tds.....:hurray:

but in reality smith would be the one with a little over 1000 yards and at least 8 tds before jarrett...just my opinion

I think Jarrett could be a decent NFL player. The offensive scheme we have been running just doesn't fit him well. He needs a more open offense.

A more open offense would also have more advanced audibles and check downs. You expect him to be able to learn that fast? It took him 3 years to grasp concepts in our playbook and its still debateable if he really knows the whole shabang. It'd take a whole career to learn the Greatest Show on Turf for him. :biggrinjester::biggrinjester:

No one was moaning much about Moose last year. Jarretts' seperation was better.

Jarrett just ain't good enough to lineup in the 2 WR sets that Carolina runs. He isn't physical enough or good enough (considering a hardcore fan can predict the plays and hit on a fair share....just imagine how much better NFL defense are at knowing what is coming).

Jarrett has always looked good in deeper WR sets....we just don't do those here.

He is young. Takes WR a while to get stuff.

Plus, like I have said before...Steve Smith has been here a long time and is one of the best in the game. He runs the wrong stuff on Sundays at times. Jarrett may have weaknesses but I think they are exaggerated.

You mean he does good when he only has to worry about going in a straight line?

Kinda like Drew Carter... Boy could he run a strait line. He was even faster then Smith.

All 3 Drafted after Jarrett in 2007 and this doesnt even compare him to Sidney Rice or Steve Smith in the same draft. Minus James Jones at GB, the Jets and Jaguars are run first teams yet each of these WR's have better stats and I guarantee you they could learn their playbook in a reasonable time. Only Stuckey hasn't recorded more yards in one season than Jarrett on that list too and he is only 30 yards short.Just ask Steve Smith..
