JR is saving all money possible due to possible lockout. He is not concerned as much for instant success at the expense of millions of dollars. Why is this so hard to understand? If you think JR isn't being uptight this year your blind. At least it is for a good reason (future).

Now if there is no lockout and he is doing all this for nothing that would suck.

Fans should care about one thing. Winning a championship and what it takes to win that whether a lock out may happen or not. Not an owner personal financial business decisions

Fair enough but at some point you have to realize ultimately, your opinion doesn't really matter and all we can do now is cheer our panthers on!

I wouldnt. AB has maybe 2 years of good productivity left.

Yall people are giving up on AE after one preseason game is laughable and embarrassing.

Boldin was drafted in 2003! That's two years AFTER smitty. He has about 5 good years left.

    • I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. If you drop back like that in the NFL on a regular basis you're basically on your own. Your OL can't do a whole lot for you. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of generating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.
    • Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.
    • Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
