If JStew or DWill get hurt early...

it depends on how the passing game goes. if it isn't a threat than defenses can stack the box without too much problem.

if the passing game is ok , then sure. i don't see any reason why.

i think williams would be more likely to pull that if but stewart would be more likely to break the TD record. i will say that both of these guys could pull that off though.

I think one of our back ups would be able to split duties with whoever wasnt hurt and pick up close to 1000

i doubt it.

as promising as goodson and sutton are, there's a huge drop off in talent between them, stewart and williams.

just like the tail end of last season, stewart or williams would carry the rock exclusively if one of them went down.

...save the NY game stewart didn't carry exclusively...fox absolutely would prefer RBBC....I don't think goodson is that much a dropoff...

you should stop while you're ahead...seriously.

rushing attempts from the second tampa bay game to the end of the season...this is total attempts for the last 5 games of the season.

williams 19

hoover 18

goodson 18

sutton 9

stewart 102

outside of williams's 13 attempts against new england, no one had double digit attempts in any game except stewart.

where's the rbbc?

hoover got to have fun against the giants because goodson couldn't run thru those huge holes that were right in front if him.

5 attempts for 2 yards.

that's not a drop off. that's a free fall from heaven.

    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
    • Alright man! We're here for it! Just glad you're keeping the doors open!
    • I think we've seen improvement in Bryce's performance. It still isn't up to world beater status, but in Canales defense, he can say that the limitations of the player were hit. I think he survives that even if Bryce doesn't. Still, I think it's a 50/50 shot for Bryce to make it. QB is one of the toughest jobs to do in the sports world, if not the most, so the failure rate is really high, no matter the pedigree. Heck, Archie Manning gets a lot of credit as a great QB but anyone who saw his career in motion knows he wasn't really that good and he was surrounded by bottom of the bowl players. He did get it figured out with his sons, though. That grandson... maybe.
