Has anybody had to study for a big professional exam with a newborn in the house?

Series 7 and other licenses. I had to leave the casa many days. Not sure what you are studying for but might have to bring someone in to help at home if this test is pretty crucial or push it back until you have a better handle on things.

An aside here. I took one test and you get a break(this was at the corner of Sharon Amity and Prov). Can be 30 mins to an hour. I go to the Wendy's up the street and go to the rest room, then walk back out to buy a USA Today. While outside I know cops everywhere and then this dude is running straight towards me with a bag in his hand and who knows what else. He had just robbed the bank across the street. I run inside and tell everyone to get down or get out and this guy comes in just after I did, goes into the same restroom and like 10 cops rush in.

Needless to say that jerked my chain some and everything I had retained upstairs was out the door.

Try a large book store. I used to go and study at barnes and noble. It's quiet, clean and comfortable.

Yeah go to Panera Bread, Barnes & Nobles, or Starbucks. Be sure to take your laptop too. You could look cook just like all the other business people and emos.

Good ideas, but do they have bigger tables at those places? I never pay attention. I need space for 2-3 large reference books, and a place to write. I generally take up half of my formal size dining room table.

Hand the kid to your wife and go someplace else to study. Make sure the wife makes you a sandwich to take with you.

Both the wife and I had to study for boards with the big girl at under 1 year.

We took turns taking her somewhere else.

As far as getting outta Dodge to study....any local colleges around?
