Madden 09 Franchise

I know this probably will never happen but last night after I finished my 08 Franchise season in Madden I had to go to Owner mode and do some serious overhauling. I lost in the NFC Championship to the stupid Bucs... Yes I do play All-Madden cut me some slack... Anyways this is how it went down:

Fired- John Fox and Trgocrap and Jeff Davidson

Hired- Rex Ryan- Head Coach

Marty Schottenhiemer - Off Coor.

Herm Edwards - Def. Coor.

Released - Jake Delhomme, Hackett, Lucas

Retired- J. Kasay and M. Muhammad

Trade - After Tagging Peppers- Traded to S.D. for Rivers and 1st Round

Signed - C. Bailey, D. Driver and J. Gross

Now if this can only in the real world everything would be a o.k. but I guess ill just live in the fantasy world of madden...

Being shotty is a Defensive coach I will have to disagree with his hire.

C. Bailey is getting older, should have signed Aso/Dunte Robinson

Like the Driver signing, and te trade with SD would only happen in Madden .

Very true but having Shotty at Off Coor could help a bit better then Jeff Davidson and maybe in the fantasy world he can help on Def side of ball. But you know, the Rivers/Peppers trade could only happen in madden, since Rivers is about to sign a 100+ million dollar contract his off season.. We can all live in a fantasy world :)

Madden 08 and 09 are absolutely terrible games. I thought 07 was decent... then they just make them worse and worse.

The main problem is the camera view... you cant change it. Apparently I would rather stare at the O-linemen's asses than see my receivers.

Who needs to see CBs or WRs... its not like Im playing quarterback or anything.

The few frustrating games I played of madden 09 and 08 had me getting 200 yards with Rosario and King, because the tightends were the ONLY potential receivers that I could see with this shitty camera view. Screen passes are not even an option, because you cannot see. Why EA would opt to TAKE OUT an option as critical as Camera View beats me, it makes the game unplayable.

Thanks EA sports! Good thing you bought the NFL naming rights and all that jazz so you have no competition. Keep focusing on cheap gimmicks like endzone dances... no need to fix the various glitches that have plagued your franchise since 2002. Oh, and why dont you take away features that have proven to be critical to competitive gameplay while you are at it.

The NFL should have never given Exclusive rights to anyone. I dont see how its good business for anyone. I just play Old Madden games cause any of the new ones suck. I dont like the controls on the PS3 and really Dont like the over all gameplay. They went really complex with in game controls and its a damn game I dont want to have to worry hitting 4 buttons just so I can double team Fitz. Hell I kinda look like Trgo when I play madden now.

I don't have a lot of trouble with Int's in 09. I end up using a lot of 5-10 yard passes with a lot of come backs. I typically use a lot of quick slants and such.

Yeah and if your opponent is in man coverage, Smitty will always be open on those quick routes like the slant and the out routes. The short/medium passing game works quite well for me. Don't hold your breath on the deep ball though.

    • As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
    • It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
