Go over to Linville falls and hike down into there. Its absolutely beautiful. Totally worth it once you get there too.

My parents have a house up there and its awesome.

Also, if you are near Linville, go to Grandfather Mtn and hike up to the swinging bridge, not good if you don't like heights, but an absolutely great view.

Cool that all sounds fun!

Anyone ever been to the Ragged Garden Inn?

http://www.ragged-gardens.com/

I want to stay somewhere nice so suggestions are welcome.

I've eaten dinner there before and it was really good. My parents used to have a house up there. They sold it, and when they go back to visit they stay at the Ragged Garden. You better book quickly though.

Sometimes doing nothing is the best thing in the world.

I agree however the requirements for this exercise were:

A) Within 7 hours of Charlotte

B)HAVE STUFF TO DO

C) Nice lodging available

If they are not requirements but merely suggestions then I would say Hawaii, Australia, or maybe a nice trip to Ireland would be a great place to go. To H*ll with Amelia Island!

You were a hall monitor in school, weren't you?
