Well, I'm a bit excited because Carter was dropping it on the 5 yard line+, something that Kasay could accomplish.

The official kickoff lines from Gamecenter (link)

Carter:

5-T.Carter kicks 60 yards from CAR 30 to NYG 10.

Kasay:

4-J.Kasay kicks 61 yards from CAR 30 to NYG 9.

4-J.Kasay kicks 54 yards from CAR 30 to NYG 16.

4-J.Kasay kicks 51 yards from CAR 30 to NYG 19.

4-J.Kasay kicks 62 yards from CAR 30 to NYG 8. (second half kickoff)

And just for comparison's sake...

9-L.Tynes kicks 59 yards from NYG 30 to CAR 11.

9-L.Tynes kicks 69 yards from NYG 30 to CAR 1.

9-L.Tynes kicks 62 yards from NYG 25 to CAR 13. (penalty re-kick)

9-L.Tynes kicks 65 yards from NYG 30 to CAR 5.

9-L.Tynes kicks 64 yards from NYG 30 to CAR 6.

9-L.Tynes kicks 64 yards from NYG 30 to CAR 6.

9-L.Tynes kicks 67 yards from NYG 30 to CAR 3.

it would be funny if todd couldn't get his old job back because some college kid took it a few weeks ago

you f'd up tc.

Yeah, unemployment is hilarious

Pursuing the dream of playing in the NFL is hardly "f'ing up". He went for it but got hurt. It happens. Any one of us would have done the same thing.

When the news came out that Carter had back problems, one of my first thoughts was whether we'd bring Lloyd back for a look-see. I had my doubts, since everything I'd read indicated he was disappointing with the Vikings.

Still, it's not like there's a boatload of proven KO specialists out there, so why not?

With that said, it's worth remembering that Lloyd is the only guy we know about getting a tryout tomorrow, but he may not necessarily be the only guy.
