I think we can help Jimmy by doing mass protect play action passes with only 2 options on 3rd and long. That was brilliant!

Also we can have him roll to the far right so as to eliminate most of the field, giving him a very small area to throw, never mind the rest of the defense that will be following him to said small area of the field.

So yup, get rid of Davidson, that would help out the most methinks.

I told you 6 months ago we were not going better than 6-10. And I told you that if Clausen started we were in a world of hurt. So far we are 0-2 and putting in a rookie. Unless he plays way over his head and 10 times better than he looked during preseason, I am still looking like the Amazing Kreskin.

To be realistic, the QB controversy isn't "over" until Clausen goes in and plays a good, solid game.

If he looks really bad this weekend, the controversy will roar right back to life.

I think one of the keys is to get Rosario more involved. The guy has good hands and is a big body. I know that blocking isn't one of his strong suits but we don't have to put him in the TE spot. As far as I can see his talents are being wasted every week.

Rosario is okay but not that great. Sure he made a big catch over the middle but this is the same guy who also missed a ball off his hands which he should have caught for a TD and one he tipped which gave the Bucs a pick late in the game. He has a 1.5 YAC which means he doesn't get open much. I think Barnidge makes that TD catch.

I agree with you. The Clausen fans want to pin that one on Matt, but I thought it was a very catchable ball and probably would have turned the tide of the game. He already beat his man, and the defender had tript, all he had to do was hang on to it and it would have been a touchdown.

Was it really him that tipped that ball? The pick Jimmy threw or were you talking about another one?
