Throwing the ball away when nobody gets open is not a bad play.

Throwing to your checkdown reciever after going through your progressions and or getting rushed into doing so is not a bad play.

Throwing a high pass where only the reciever can catch it is not a bad play.

Being a rookie does not gurantee that you can't be good!!!

Clausen is not David Carr. People making those analogies remind me of women who build this wall around them because their ex treated them like poo. Don't stereotype him. Yes you can save face by playing it safe and making generic comments about how you don't expect much but wont be surprised if he does good.

Don't be afraid to be great!!!

I somehow get the impression this thread is about more than football.

You dont have to read between the lines on anything I post, or not this one anyway.

But with that comment, sounds like your a butthurt Moore fan or Clausen hater... either way don't matter to me, my boy is starting and were all gonna reap the rewards of it

You seem to be getting the wrong impressions all over today buddy.

I agree. Josh Freeman showed us yesterday that throwing the ball away is a great play.

While Matt showed us throwing into the red sea will get you benched and cause Smith to want to punch someone or at the very least start a fight.

we don't know what he will be.......David Carr was not David Carr until teams figured out his weakness and began to exploit it.

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
