At the age of 31, Smith probably won't request a trade. In the Carolinas he is a celebrity and is a position to command one hell of an extension when its up.

Anywhere else, he'd just be "an aging receiver that was once really good, who was picked up off a trade".

I'm actually not Doom and Gloom. I'm one of the more optimistic posters on here until about 3 weeks ago. I'm just pissed off at the product we have been given this year. I still will be at every game come hell or high water.

I wouldn't be for it, trust me. And I know a ring is not a given. But to go somewhere with a chance to play for a ring? Who could blame him.

And, I assume nothing about this front office anymore. The biggest move they made this year was a season ticket holder town hall conference call and a CD with Cat Scratch Fever remixes.
