Am I The Only One With Hope?

So I'm sitting in traffic on the way from the game and I'm briefly glimpsing at alot of the threads that were written during the game and all of them are doom and gloom. We're 0-3 a very painful 0-3 but I don't think the sky is falling just yet.

For starters this is the best I've seem our defense all season. There were atleast two interventions I feel we could have made, and I'll blame those on the weather.

The O-line meshed together a little better and Jimmy Clausen looked good out there for his first start and I think with practicing a full week with all his receivers in practice he'll be alright. He really showed something in the 4th quarter.

I'm not saying we're a playoff contender because that's a LONG shot but I don't think we're as awful as everyone is making it seem...

And with the first pick in the 2011 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select...Patrick Fleming, WR from SMU.

Yup, that's probably what we'll do. Draft somebody who is a nobody at a college that doesn't compete "because he's a big target" (6'4 242 lbs. Big guy, but we better take a big name with big potential...)

Actually i believe I counted 4 dropped interceptions

and we doubled our sacks for the year from 1 to 2

Palmer had a lot of time today and played like a retard

I knew we were bad, but I don't think we're at that point yet... Damn.

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
