At what point does this season become a wash for you?

Granted, I know 'rebuilding years' are mainly focused on young development, but at what point will you concede we aren't playing past January 2 this season?

One thing I will give Fox is he always has us in the playoff race into December. Does anyone see a glimmer of hope for that this year?

Honestly, once we're 0-6. At that point, it's a lost cause. 10-6 or 9-7, you MIGHT get a WC. Once you lose 6 or 7 (or 5, really) the odds of you winning out are slim to none. And based on what I see, we'd be lucky to win 5.

Not a wash yet, IMO. But it is very close. Even IF it becomes a wash, I will watch every game and I STILL plan on making a game this year.

I see a 'hail mary' gameplan for next week that results in how we gameplan the rest of the year....Fox pulls out all the stops and a victory puts us in an 11th hour push for recovery...defeat has him sizing up the old resume (not that he needs to).

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
