Wanna bet we get at least a 1st rounder. You're not making any sense. Teams that need to their line or defense to improve, will do what they have to get him. Aint paying attention to all that extra crap you speaking of. We wont let him go for nothing else

This is a business. Teams want to win

You guys real get worked up over someone saying that Peppers desire to get out of Charlotte may sabotage the value we may get in a trade. A troll this does not make.

If Peppers is saying he does not want to play here teams will hold back and give us some shoddy offers and make these negotiations difficult. Have we forgot about Kris Jenkins?? We got a third round pick for him.

Of course I think we will get a first round pick for him but it is the secondary picks we will get screwed on. Jared Allen gets a 1st and two 3rds. Peppers may get the 1st, 3rd and 5th. Of course, demanding to play in a 3-4 defensive scheme limits the trade partners we may deal with. Steelers, Ravens, Jets, Cowboys, Dolphins, and Houston.

When someone disagrees or offers another side that differs from your own opinion just let it go.......that is what a message board is.

All we need is more then one team involved and what he says about us won't matter because they will be bidding against eachother and would be willing to give up at least a first because thats at least what hes worth.

If Roy Williams can garner a 1st and more then Peppers better bring at least that.

Not true. IMO opinion it just throws some blood in the water.

Now all the sharks will come.

Everyone knows we will Tag his ass and keep him here if need be, so we will get A LOT of offers.

Its not every day that you know where to go to get "the guy"--

Well he is on our sale rack--

Come on down!!!!

Exactly...thank you.

Do you think that teams would rather deal with the team that owns the rights to him and give up draft picks to be able to sign him to a deal that they deem monetarily appropriate?

Or

Do you think they want to get into a bidding war with multiple teams so that the price can get so enormously high that it takes up an extra 10% of their allotted cap space????

I guess if you value your draft picks that much then you might wanna get into a bidding war but I bet most teams would rather just make the deal, give up the compensation, keep the contract reasonable, and get on with their game-planning...

Yeah, I agree, that didn't help matters. But I still think we'll be able to get a good deal. The fact is, a lot of teams will jump at the chance to land Peppers, and they'll be bidding against each other. I still think we get minimum a first rounder out of this.

Yeah, I think you will get at least a first rounder for Peppers. I hope the Texans give up that 15th pick for him, but then again if we can get Suggs which I doubt I would be happy. I think Peppers might be a Eagle next year.

teams will call our bluff and not give up a first.... they will say "fine, pay him then 17 million or let us know when you're ready to take a 3rd and 4th rounder"

I think they can get a first for him. But it would have to be a team like the eagles who have 2 first rounders or a team like the Texans with alot under the cap.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
