Tropical Depression #16 (ready for some rain?)

A new vigorous upper-level low plunges southward into Alabama reenergizing the stalled Southeast front midweek as a very moisture-laden Tropical Depression 16 (still forecast to become Tropical Storm Nicole) tracks northward across southeast Florida. Heavy, flash-flooding rain will develop across southern and eastern Florida, coastal Georgia and the Carolinas.

Parts of the Carolinas could pick up over 6 inches of rain on Wednesday alone. Wilmington, North Carolina could have another rain event similar to Monday.

On Thursday, as Tropical Depression 16 (or Tropical Storm Nicole) becomes extratropical off the Southeast Coast and is absorbed into the developing eastern storm, the weather will improve over Florida while heavy rains continue over the Carolinas. A few showers or thunderstorms may develop over eastern Alabama and Georgia ahead of the upper-level low still lurking over the Southeast.

dammit... it already took me an extra half hour to get into work this morning because it was raining... don't feel like putting up with this all week. might have to work from home

when will people learn that wet roads + doing 40 on the highway = not a winning combination

Leland finally decided to do something about flooding on 74. They dug out large drainage ditches on the E side, and knocked a big chunk of shoulder away on the W side while doing the same thing there. hopefully it helps and only the median floods this time instead of the whole hwy turning into a pond.

Yeah, and I'm in an outdoor wedding in Wilmington this weekend.

Where specifically?

HA HA Wilmington is about to get blowed up by rain!

So glad i live in Charlotte

Yeah, we got 10.23" at the airport on Monday and 3" yesterday and we've already had at least 3" this morning... it was raining really, really hard for like an hour before I left the house. I can't believe what it will be like if that storm does hit us.

    • So... what metrics for production do you believe display these issues/limitations best? Are we only using total passing yards, height, and weight thresholds? If so, then what are those thresholds?
    • I mean as far as his size goes it's all over his tape bouncing up and down on his toes in and around the pocket trying to see the field and defenses know this as well as we do but if folks here want to live in never never land and pretend it's not a thing that's their prerogative. Even our head coach has made it a key focal point to get his footwork under control. But it's still something Bryce is going to be tested on early and often no matter how many keystrokes anyone here commits to the narrative it isn't an issue.
    • It speaks volumes that when asked to define a clear performance threshold the responses instead fixate on Bryce's size. It reinforces what’s been clear for a while now... that for some, it has never been nor will it ever be about production. Any struggles will always be chalked up to his frame, and any strong play will be downplayed or disqualified via highly mobile goalposts.
