Actually, from what I've looked up, we don't know one way or the other... The Panthers don't announce contracts/extensions with front office personnel and for all we know Hurney could've signed it and it just never leaked to the media.

Then other reports say he may be sitting on it and doesn't want to sign b/c he doesn't think Fox will be back.

IDK, I have a hard time believing he's working for free if his contract expired...

You're correct.

Hurney and Fox are no longer a "package deal".

My guess for next season is that Fox will be gone and Hurney will be hiring his replacement.
