Can't fault Captain at all, it was a freak incident considering he was really expecting to run into his teammate. He has done a pretty good job thus far with returns. I do worry about him getting hurt returning punts, then again we rarely force the other team into a punting situation hahah.

My concern is with Sherrod Martin and his concussion. Will he be ready to go by next week?

My second favorite play in the history of Panthers was when Smitty had his "fug you" TD in a punt return against Seahawks. He was getting shut down by double and tripple teams and then told Fox he's returning the next punt.

Too bad Smitty never gets involved in teaching these rookies how to be a WR or a punt returner. He's one of those people that just gets frustrated with players not having the same fire like him.

I know we're talking about capt in this thread, but I've got to say that the facemask on Goodson was probably one of the worst I've ever seen. Amazing and fortunate he didn't suffer a much more serious injury.

He's tweeted that he's ok. I was pissed off at that play. I hope that asshole gets fined for that one

Yeah the fumble was a real bummer but it was incredibly close on the replay, easily could have been called the other way. Other than the fumble, he actually had did a really good job yesterday.

that was one of those calls where whatever was called on the field was gonna stand b/c there wasn't enough evidence to go the other way....we just got lucky as dogsh!!t that it was called a fumble

sometimes the worst hits are the freaky ones - unfortunate it happened, but I can live with the fumbles that come from that kind of play - can't stand the ones where the guy is just tooling along and someone from behind knocks it out....aka Bradshaw on SNF...lol
