Clausen's parents said they held each of their kids back, I believe it was either 5 or 6th grade, but I forget their reasoning.

b/c of sports. They did it with all the Clausens. So he is older than a lot of the kids he is playing against.

TO is arguably the most arrogant player in the NFL, and he's a Hall of Famer. I think just because you have a horrible attitude, it doesn't mean that you won't succeed. But, I do think that it means that you will clash with the other egos on the team. And let's face it, Steve Smith's ego is massive.

Comparing Clausen to TO is dumb because TO has a superbowl ring, Clausen doesn't even have a win at this point in the season.

Ok, after looking at history he doesn't have a superbowl ring, but he has won more games than Clausen.

In 1998, Steve Young led the 49ers to a 12-4 record and their 16th straight winning season, all with 10 wins or more. I don't get how Clausen doesn't have a textbook throwing motion. Granted, a unique motion doesn't bother me as long as the ball gets there but this kid has recieved the type QB coaching throughout his life that very few NFL players see.

Clausen has a good throwing motion, but he often releases the ball with a low trajectory. That leads to passes that can be easily batted down, or possibly picked off.

Given that he has a history of working relentlessly on his mechanics, I believe he can fix it.

I still chaulk that one up to nerves.

-1st road start in the NFL.

-loud enviroment

-1st drive of the game issues w/ the playcalls coming in.

-Then you fail to handle the playclock

-Then your star WR overreacts

all that was in the first few seconds of his first road start.

I think the ball hit the dirt b/c he was nervous and frustrated w/ everything that occured right before it. Throwing the ball in the dirt just would make Clausen look bad......in a couple different ways. It would send no legit message to Smitty imo.
