David Clowney, K Moore, or Guy?

Im thinking Jarrett will finally be released after his second DWI. So the question is who will take his spot. Gantt says he thinks Clowney fits with our offense, and normally he doesnt talk about other Wr's. Easiest to pick would be Moore, but I think I would want Guy over Moore. And I think Clowney would be the best over all three. He is a fast guy and if we got him today he could share time with Edwards on sunday and give our third WR some speed down the field.

well, I wont say your wrong, but he didn't get any where near the amount of chances Jarrett has here. His first year he sat on the practice squad. Second year he hurt his collarbone, played in two games with one catch, then last year he played in 13 games and caught 14 balls, 191 yards long of 53 and a td. no starts.

i dont know man maybe thats cause just like jarrett he never showed the coaching staff anything in practice worth playing him for......i watched hard knocks every week and the coaching staff bitched about clowney on a daily bases

lol well that doesn't work with comparing to Jarrett either. Jarrett looks like an all star WR in practice. Unfortunately thats the only time. There are guys that are good in practice and suck in game, and guys who suck in practice and do good in game. Maybe Clowney is the opposite of Jarrett but never got many chances for how he looked on the practice field.

Clowney has at least made some plays in NY before being released. He is who I would go with. Does it really matter though with Davidson only calling 7-8 passing plays in some halves? If they were thinking of opening it up a bit then I'd be concerned but it doesn't appear that way.

Clowney is a legit deep threat. His draft stock fell cuz he lost production his senior year to Eddie Royal and Josh Morgan, 2 players making plays elsewhere in the league.

The only knock is, he got cut by the Packers initially (which is where WRs go to gain insane production) then got picked up by the Jets for a couple years and then had trouble getting on the field because of the crowded WR corp they have now(meaning they wanted more from him). and Unlike Moore and Guy.. he's made a couple plays in preseason AND the regular season.

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
