Could this be next years helmet?

No, it's not. That blog post is from a month and a half ago. What's interesting about that?

What's interesting about it, is that the subject of switching helmets has been brought up before. Just because they said no to black helmets this season does not rule it out for next season. So it's interesting because you can actually find something on the web about possibly changing to a different helmet. It was a month ago not a year ago, and then we some how have this thread about a helmet. I didn't say they were gonna choose black helmets. I just think it is interesting that there has been discussions about it before.

The discussions have been by the fans, not the Panthers. If you can show me any link that shows the Panthers organization suggesting a switch to black helmets, I will concede my point. Otherwise, it is all a bunch of fan BS, like it has always been.

You do know that it was reported by Charles Chandler not a fan. It's a blog so fan's can post there thoughts on the topic. Charles Chandler works for The Charlotte Observer he is just reporting a story that happens to be interesting, also if you look at the top it says CHARLES CHANDLER covers the PANTHERS for THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER. THIS IS NOT A BLOG IT IS AN ARTICLE THAT IS LETTING YOU POST YOUR THOUGHTS ON IT. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS INTERESTING NOW?

It is essentially a blog that the Panthers reporters post on. Notice the number of "articles" they post on it. It is not an article, as the things from there rarely, if ever, appear in actual newsprint.

Also, Chandler never says that the rumors came from the team. It simply says "rumors are swirling," and I have no doubt in my mind that those "rumors" were started by all the dipsh*ts on here and other message boards wanting ALL BLAKC UNIS, OMG!1!1! THAT WOULD BE THE SHYTE!!1!

    • Malcom Spence is the best player remaining, hope he’s there.
    • The era that you played in, and, more importantly, who you played with actually matters. Honestly, that's why these issues will be debated forever, as it's just difficult to say that this person or that person is better when you're discussing the passage of time. As for me, after Rice, Moss and maybe Megatron and T.O., there's probably a dozen or so guys that can be argued about to the cows come home. Personally, I'm not putting Fitz, Harrison, Johnson, Evans, or especially D-Hop, Jefferson, Chase or Hill definitely in front of Smitty (and Colston ain't even in the discussion). Context and all that stuff actually matters. Things like the triple crown matter.
    • Some of those guys? Yeah honestly you can.  I would 100% take Steve Smith over Larry Fitzgerald, Harrison, even Mike Evans. He is 100% a better player than those guys in his prime. If you look at the numbers Smith is historically under targeted in comparison to his contemporaries. He was only targeted 150 times or more only once in his career. Fitzgerald for example was targeted well above that 9 different seasons. Had Smith played with Peyton, Brady, Greatest Show on Turf, or even with Warner in Arizona he would broken records. His 2008 season was ridiculous accumulating 1400 yards in 13 games on less than 80 receptions. All time he also lost a season due to injury in 04, barely played WR as a rookie. Got robbed of 1k season with Clausen. Thats easily another 1800yds minimum that should have been tacked on to his #s. The only guys I’d say for certain are better than Smith are Rice, Moss, TO, Megatron, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown.
