Why not Armanti Edwards at QB?

Stopped reading here because I was laughing too much.

By your logic the reason we wanted Moore to start over Jake last year was because we were all OSU homers. Fail.

I don't even much care for App State but I do think we are under-utilizing his talent. I doubt any of these posters are actually wanting him to start the whole game but simply wanting him to take a few more snaps to help a drowning offense.

Oh, they want him starting. He has potential and I am all for seeing it on the field. Did you miss the part about the Panthers coaches calling up Jerry Moore and seeing how best to utilize him? Did you?

He left Pitt bc he was competing with a legacy

Joe Flacco was recruited by Pittsburgh out of high school but rarely saw playing time and after a time was benched without given the opportunity to compete. When he left Pitt to find greener pastures, only Delaware was interested.

And race not talent had everything to do with Walter Payton going to Jackson State.

Although Payton had established himself as one of the state’s top running back prospects, he received no invitations from Southeastern Conference colleges and universities, which were accepting only a few black players at the time.[9] He decided to pursue his collegiate career at the historically African-American, Jackson State University

True about WP, but irrelevant to the argument about FCS players being capable of competing in the NFL.

AE fans should also be careful when wishing for him to start. Given the porosity of the o-line and the lack of a receiving game, he's liable to end up looking as bad as Moore and Clausen---even with his superior speed.

Of course, I'd rather see him do something than what we've seen so far.

This.........plus he's still learning the WR position. I don't see how he could possibly know the system well enough to play a whole game or even a whole quarter at QB right now. I'd be more than happy just to see him used like the Jets use Brad Smith. I truly feel that's the quickest way for him to contribute.
