Need help from Electrician or someone knowledgeable in that field

Sorry LIAG.

I have been away. FWIW, Dimz is spot on with what to do. I would disconnect the wiring and bring the boob light down. A wire could be stripped in the down tube or the fixture itself. Get that checked before re-installing it.

But,

Skew had some good advice also....

Feel free to have Dan PM me some pics of it and I'll take a look-see...

OK. Then I'm not sure what caused the breaker to flip, unless the tug of the light falling pulled some wire loose causing an arc. I would have Dan go slow and steady about it

I'm assuming something inside the light caused the breaker to trigger.

I just took these. I had Dan take the boob part off last night. The brown stuff on the light bulb thingy in the 2nd picture concerns me a bit.

I wouldn't be overly concerned with that, honestly. It looks to just be some kind of gunk that's gotten browned by the heat from the light bulb. That doesn't look like any kind of electreical burn. You might need a whole new light fixture...at the least, a new screw on nipple for the boob (aka globe)

My FIL just came over to take a look at it. The black wire snapped in two because the electrician used the wrong screws to hold the light up and it stripped out the holes and that is why the light fell.

Now we get to buy a new light. I didn't like that light anyway.

Word.
