So did NO and ATL.

And I'm not sure about Philly but that game was pretty close.

All 3 of those teams have pretty damn good offenses.

We beat a pretty damn good defense guys, not saying we're great, but i really take pride in this win.

I agree. I actually really liked the 49ers this year. I loved watching them play the Saints and the great comeback they had against them right at the end.

I was afraid of that from Alex Smith, and I know it sounds bad, but I am glad in a way Smith was hurt at the end. I was saying it before the game......I hope we are not up by 3 or less with 2 minutes to go and no run game...cause that kid can score in 53 seconds.

We have the talent to beat most teams. It's just a matter of putting it all together for 4 quarters and the coaches knowing how to use the personnel we have.

This win shows we at least have a few things to look forward to this year still.

Yeah I also think Smith is a really good QB. I guarantee he'll be one of those guys like Kerry Collins who gets better with age. He has all the skills and lost a lot of time due to injuries. Once David Carr came in i felt the win was secured, even after the hilarious Moore play (great tackling form, just doesn't work when the other guy weighs 200 more pounds than you).

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
