Edwards to be active next week...?

lol, at least the App St. fans will stick around through the 4th, so we'll have some fans left in the stadium.

Then we will half the stadium full at the end.

The other half will miss Armanti bringing us back to victory.

I bet they just have not started Edwards because they know that no one will leave their seats and concession sales will be down.

Really a shame that they have not been training him at QB all this time.

Guess he will just have to wing it. At least the defense will not know what's going to happen, or the crowd. Also his wind up to throw will not be measured with a calendar. He will not throw it away every down, should be able to run for good gains if no open receivers. Will cause the defense to put a spy on him or two and open up the receivers. Will be like having an extra running back in the back field. Should have positive yards most plays. Will never have 9 yards passing in the first half like we had today.

Fox is so conservative he will not be able to stand it. That in itself is worth having Armanti in at QB.

Edwards height will have nothing to do with getting the ball over the line. Vick is 1 inch taller and is lighting it up this season. Clausen is 6'2 and gets every other ball batted. It has to do with your throwing motion and delivery. I agree with Proudiddy in the fact that he probably is the best QB on the roster. My avatar also doesn't mean I am an Armanti fanboy I just liked the picture. With this season going the way it is please at least try him out at QB it can't get much worse.

Haha Fox is the man. I'm gonna miss that guy.

For real though, season's over, let's start Armanti. It'll be fun for everybody involved and the App State fans will all cream themselves in the stadium.

Whomever is sitting in front of me (hopefully an opposing fan) will have man juice sprayed on the back of their head when this happens.

...from one quarter, you've decided Pike is a career backup.

from 3 games, you've decided he hasn't shown you one good moment? what exactly do you define as a "good moment"? 40+ down field pass from the pocket? 20 yard pass while scrambling?

clausen hasn't shown us CONSISTENCY, which is a big issue. he has shown some good moments, but none of them matter when he can't string them together with some amount of consistency.

waaay too early to make ANY conclusions about Pike (or Clausen).

He looked awful dude. Time to face facts. Bradford has nearly single-handedly turned around the Rams, and McCoy with the Browns. Sugar coat it all you want but they aren't NFL qbs. I promise you. I was a huge fan for giving them chance, well they've had them and didn't prove anything.

You're right I shouldn't and can't label them as awful yet. He never throws downfield and throws 100mph at our runningbacks two feet away. He has had plenty of chances this year and has one td to a wide-open Stew, and I think five picks now. Great numbers.

Pike dropped from a potential 2nd/3rd rounder to the sixth. See any issues there? Was it luck that his backup came in last year at Cincy and did nearly just as well as him? Sorry man but I'm tired of watching three and out after three and out. Change is needed.

I agree we need change, but that isn't happening any time soon.

Wasn't talking about this game, I meant in the past. He made very few plays this last game, but he wasn't helped out very much by the offense, either. If you want to point at rookies doing well, go look at the offenses they run. They are NOTHING like what we do... or at least, they are able to execute better than we do, to borrow from Fox. We are all around a terrible team, and the Rams & Browns have very bright spots on offense unrelated to their QBs.

Phil Simms talked about how Vick is at his best when he takes deep drops... Why? Because it gives him an advantage in passing lanes and his view of the receivers downfield. So for all those people saying it won't make it over the line... how tall is Clausen? Yet, in his limited time playing, I wonder if he leads the league in balls batted down. It has nothing to do with height. Armanti can do it, and he should do it.

How many times has a spread QB come into the NFL and done well?

If Armanti Edwards is the first then so be it.

I know that you all think that I am a homer (not simpson) and I am. I could put in another name and run away from it but why do that. If I am right about Edwards it will show soon after he is inserted. He has quickness, not just speed; "laser arm" like some commentators have said; doesn't throw to covered receivers, or just throw it away because someone is chasing him but pulls it down and runs for positive yardage if everyone is covered.

But he doesn't need to be inserted for two plays like he was a few weeks ago. What they gave him before was two (2) plays. Doing the reverse to a receiver that was telegraphed from Mars, and then having no open receivers and running for eight or nine yards, then yanking him is no way to put him in. He said later that those two plays were the only ones that they had practiced with him. Stupido, stupid, stupendous.

I wasn't even looking at your name because it's not important to me. I don't care what he did in college because when you come from that type of offense you don't have the background skills needed to be successful in the NFL. Moore and Clausen came from pro style offenses in college and you've seen how they struggled.

I don't care if he is quick, everyone is quick in the NFL. The spread offense is based on having better athletes than your opponents and getting them the ball quickly in space. That doesn't happen in the NFL like it does in FCS football. The hashes are too close together and everyone runs sub 4.7 40s.

Can he take a snap under center? Has he seen half the defenses that will be thrown at him?

I'm done writing this post because I'm mad at myself for giving this much thought into why he won't play well when it shouldn't even cross my mind.
