Gareth Jenkins parted company with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) after failing to pass a set of exams.

However a leaving email he sent ridiculing his co-workers and the company which was forwarded around the world.

Mr Jenkins opened his email farewell with: "This is an emotional email for me to have to send. The tears are flowing.

"Today is my last day at PwC. I haven't sent this to everyone because what would be the point? Why do people send their leaving emails to everyone? We didn't care about you then and we certainly don't care about you now.

"I still presume hardly any of you knew me, which is good because I'm rubbish at audit, so I wouldn't have helped your stellar careers."

It is believed that Mr Jenkins joined the auditor three years ago as a university graduate.

He would have been earning up to £30,000 as a trainee chartered accountant on a three-year training contract.

After attacking his colleagues, Mr Jenkins then turned his fire on the decor at his City office, saying: "I've also learned how not to decorate an office - green and orange block colour walls with business buzz phrases on. 'Find your space', 'always add value' etc. Where do these terrible phrases come from? Is there a team of people lurking about in Embankment Place whose only duty is to pump out corporate drivel?

"Oh yah Rupert, I like 'diversify your outlook'"

"Fantastic, fantastic, let's roll it out"

"I'll action that"

"By close of play?"

"Oh, absolutely."

"What does it mean, though?"

"Hm. Fantastic point, we'll have to revolutionise outside the box on this one, I can tell."

"Touch base on this a-sap?"

"Rather.""

Mr Jenkins was equally scathing about events attended by PwC management.

He said: "I look forward immensely to never having to attend an event in which Our Beloved Leaders stand up and tell us we've massively exceeded budget, so in reward we get no bonuses and instead we get the treat of listening to Coldplay while quotes from the greatest leaders of our times are played across a screen.

"Dare we be different? Not really. What we dare to do is stick out 3 years until we get the ACA and we can leave. Except me, obviously. I got fired. Whoops."

Signing off, he made his intense dislike of many of his colleagues clear, saying: "So, those of you I'm not actually friends with, I hope we'll all continue to manage avoiding staying in touch.

"I have a personal email, so if you want to send me anything (I can't imagine why you would), just guess it. If it's meant to be, I'll get it.

"I'm also on Facebook but I hate it. I'm sure you've got real friends of your own and I'd prefer if you left me alone quite frankly.

"If we ever talked (doubtful, I avoided anyone that looked like they might give me some work), add away.

"I've left some treats in the group area.

"Not really.

"Bye forever xxx."

If you have worked in the big 4 you know exactly how this guys feels

One of the reasons I was ready to leave IBM. I was sitting in a meeting on a Friday afternoon at 5:30. Listening to people argue what to paint their new work area walls. I told them going in, that they were going to be painted "Egg Shell Grey". Some wanted blue, but not too blue. NOT Carolina or Duke blue!

Finally after sitting there for 30 minutes, I stood up and told them.

"IBM only paints walls one color and one color only! "Egg Shell Grey" by Sherwin Williams. You all can continue arguing, but the color you will choose is "Egg Shell Grey" PERIOD!" With that I left.

I was told later by the manager that what I did was "Unprofessional".

I told her that I was on my time, and I had told everyone numerous times what the IBM standard was. That wanting it painted another color wasn't going to happen. Personally I don't care if they wanted them pink with purple polka-dots. That IBM Contract painters can ONLY paint walls one color. Sherwin Williams "Egg Shell Grey!" I told her if that was being "unprofessional" then feel to report me to my manager. I also told her to feel free to call corporate and argue with them over the color.

Guess which color the walls were painted? Sherwin Williams "Egg Shell Grey". :mad2:

Working for a large corporation makes you appreciate not working for a large corporation!

(That's deep! I should remember that one!)

I prefer to work for a mid size business. In IT, mom n pop shops don't let you get enough exposure to different technologies. I'm a former IBMer (IGS) and I never want to work for that large of a company again. Mid size IT companies, especially MSPs let you work with everyone from anti-virus, email design, infrastructure roll outs, data center deployments, to DR, to virtualization planning that it's actually pretty satisfying.

I worked for KPMG, so I know where this guy is coming from. You often felt like a number rather than a person.

However, he sounds like a whiney little bitch. He could not hack it...could not pass the certification exams...and blames others for his failures.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
