Clausen has potential. Our offense has stunk pretty bad but today i am seeing some spark. YES, we are field goal kicking mfer's but we are competing. I just wanted to start a thread that can be a reaction to all the

DRAFT LUCK. DRAFT SUCH AND SUCH QB.

Honestly i would rather have a LT, mauling RG, corner and DT.

Clausen is capable. It's our entire offense that has not been playing well.

10/21 116yrds NO INT's. NO TD's. That is not too bad.

Draft AJ Green

No, it's bad. <50% completions is bad no matter the situation

I'm not seeing Clausen doing anything special anytime soon. Seriously, this is what we call an improvement?

If he can continue to improve then I'm cool with keeping him around. If the new CBA is reached then we have a lot more of an incentive to draft a QB high because of the lesser financial commitment.

But yeah I'd rather see us turn that high 1st into a mid first and a few 2nds.

I think this team would be better off with blue chip RG, DT, and DE than another rookie QB.

This is Clausen's best and only good game of the year. Davidson has done a much better job of playcalling for a rookie QB. A lot of Clausen's throws are on well designed WR Screen plays and a few other were back shoulder throws.

Still Clausen seems to struggle putting the ball where it needs to be on really easy passes to the TEs and backs. Although if they would catch some of these passes they get their hands on it probably wouldn't be as noticeable.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
