ammonium nitrate fertilizer help please

A while back I had some fertilizer left over & I put it in a sealed plastic container to save for future use.

While cleaning the garage I came across it and noticed it wouldn't shake around so I opened the container & it appears as if it grew white mold or something, the "mold looking" type substance has grown to the top of the container.

I need to know how to dispose of it. Can I just throw it away or do I have to take it some special facility to do it?

I want to dump this stuff safely. I'm thinking of flushing it water out in the clearing behind my house. Maybe it will burn up the weeds growing out there.

or it'll make the next generation f*cking huge.

if you are going to bother flushing it with water why don't you just use it to fertilize things?

You know LIAG that is a pretty good question.

I don't know much about fertilizer chemistry, but my guess is landfill disposal is probably not a great idea.

I have half a bag in the garage as well. I think I'll take a closer look at said bag and see if they have disposal tips other than use it all and buy another.
