Do you believe Smitty will break Moose's record for receptions and receiving yards?

If the stats are up to date from the Panthers website (which I'm not sure because when I logged on the main page had a pop up that said "Less than 1900 tickets left!" for the S.F./Carolina game), do you think Steve Smith will break Moose's record for receptions and receiving yards this year?

As it stands (according to www.panthers.com), Smith has 604 receptions and 8695 receiving yards. While Moose has 696 receptions and 9255 receiving yards.

With 7 games left, because obviously we won't make it past the regular season, Smith would have to have 80 receiving yards per game and around 13 receptions per game. I'm leaning towards No due to our crappy QB situation and terrible offensive line.

Also, please be easy on me, this is my first New Thread.

Thanks for your responses! :D

I believe he will break it, but next season if he does.

Yea, I'm leaning towards next year also. If there is a next year. Thanks for posting that video. Smith is the best receiver in the league in my opinion. He has a never give up attitude and plays with an intensity for the game that I haven't seen in any other player. Think of how much better he would be if we actually had an above par QB and a high caliber WR lined up on the other side of the field from him.

i am looking to something positive...this year being over in a few weeks. a new coach. a first overall pick in the draft. these are good things.

I agree. I am looking towards all of those things myself. But I'll be surprised if we don't end up trading our 1st round overall pick.
