Turmoil in Tennessee

Vince put himself in this position. He has NO work ethic, he acts like a child when anything goes wrong and he cannot handle adversity at all. Fisher isn't that great of a coach, but I'd be pissed off too if my quarterback was scraping by on the bare minimum and unable to handle the criticism when challenged on it.

Regardless of your stance on Fisher, there is absolutely no reason why VY deserves to be in the league at this point.

I honestly think Young could be a quality QB, but Tenn is obviously not the place for him and he'd need to do a lot of growing up as a man. He's nowhere near the 'talented black QB' that KT would so much like him to be. He's got a lot of work to do(mostly mental).

Im happy for Vince. Jeff Fisher never wanted him or has stood behind him. He deserves to play for a better organization that isnt gonna ditch him the second he throws an INT. Vince should look into coming into the NFC East. He's played well against their teams, and chances are he'll receive better coaching (a la Vick in Philly) to take his game to the next level than he's gonna get playing for Fisher. Fisher is a dumbass, and doesnt have the ability to coach a talent like Vince.

hahaha wow. if you want to make this argument you can make it with every QB in NFL history. "Ryan Leaf's Head Coach just didn't have the ability to coach a talent like Ryan"

The reason that Fisher never got behind Vince Young is because he is sporadic. the guy is not consistent enough to where a coach would feel confident enough about his play. saying it's because the fact that he is black is ridiculous

oh, and another thing. Another reason Fisher doesn't have faith in VY is because the guy was lazy in returning from injury last week. His teammates came out and said they were disappointed he wouldn't do any extra rehab. now maybe if someone can get him to actually work hard he will be consistent and some coach would be able to trust him, but right now, it is on VY and VY only to get his act together and stop acting like an immature child

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
