benched for discipline is what I gather from Gantt's twitter.

Thanks CB, that's was my initial thought as I couldn't fathom he would be benched for any other reason when Marshall is still out there lol.

Weird though, and slightly troubling, considering I always felt that he was a front office/coaching favorite.

Steve Reed says it was due to "ineffectiveness".

To me that doesn't sound like "mouthing off". Either way it gives my bid for taking Patrick Peterson with the first pick a bit more credibility. With Marshal likely leaving, and in a division with Brees, Ryan and Freeman. It would be nice to shut down a large zone of the field. Might just make Gamble a little more effective and thrown to more.

      Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.

ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last.       5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
