Bengals closing in on the #1 pick

As it stands now, the Bengals would get the first pick in the NFL draft if they lose out and Carolina beats Arizona next week.

granted, it would require us winning a game, which I don't see. I don't care what anyone says.

So we've gotten destroyed in every game this season and all of a sudden we are going to win one to give the Bengals the first pick? If John Fox screws us in that fashion I will be pissed. Theres no point in winning any game this season...

The Bengals also have the Browns, who just lost to the Buffalo Bills. I'm going to go ahead and say that the Bengals can beat the Browns. Arizona isn't a TERRIBLE team. Considering we gave up a 14 point lead to the Seahawks last year I'd say there is very little chance we win another game this season. We had about as good a chance as we've had all season last week against Seattle.

Agreed. I am unfamiliar with the breakdown as well. I understand it's supposed to be dependent on strength of schedule, but I feel like a higher priority tie breaker should include head-to-head matchups?

No. Strength of schedule gives it to Cincy. Head to head matchups don't count

great. So we beat Arizona...everybody on the team happy and we lose out on a franchise QB, while the Bungals get Luck. I'm a unhappy camper.
