and somehow ended up a fan of Manchester United

haha that was good

man i think the key here is sub-culture right now the sub-culture of panther fans are true panther fans. I think its because we are a relatively new team and are getting really the first generation of fans who grew up watching the panthers.

There are some really good and intelligent panthers fans out there they are just outnumbered by the people who go to the games on their company's PSLs and couldn't care less about football obly why someone has the audacity to stand up in front of them

lol sorry I'm not a sports fan I'm just trying to do my research paper and I need "field research" from people who are Panthers fans. My opinion on any matter doesn't account for anything. I just need some feedback on why Panther fans are Panther fans

Good thing the "San Diego Chicken" wasn't in the room when you said that.

I moved to Charlotte from Toronto in the mid-90s. (Most Panthers fans aren't rednecks)

When we got the team I was an instant fan. Love this team.

Before every game my roommates and I rub a Jake signed mini-helmet for good luck (might need to change that!)

The days leading up to Sunday's are

brutal. If the Panthers win or lose it's the main topic of conversation for the week. It's either going to be a fun,

exciting, energetic, week or a dismal, slow, frustrating week depending on the outcome of that week's game.

But as for my ritual...every night before a Panthers game I sleep in my Panthers jersey and don't take it off

until the next time I lay down to sleep. I used to sleep in my Mike Minter jersey (my all-time favorite Panther),

but since he retired thought I may have to retire the tradition as well....now his #30 jersey hangs from my

wall...the tradition could not die though as I now sleep in my new favorite Panther, John Beason. Did that get

too creepy!?

During the 2003 (played in 2004) NFC Championship game against the Eagles, two of my friends (who are

twins) and I sat in the "Panther Triangle" the whole game. We didn't move from our spots nor did we let anyone into our area because it would obviously make the Cardiac Cats fall...well we won...so how can you argue

against it :-)

...if only we had the "Panthers Triangle" for the Super Bowl...but I was fortunate enough to be able to go. The same friends mentioned above are season-ticket holders and won the lottery..what a moment! Too bad Kasay....ugh...

    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
    • The nice thing about the timing of Bryce's contract at least is that it's going to match up with the 2027 Draft Class. No excuses, he either becomes Rams 2nd half Bryce year long, or we draft his replacement.  Nothing wrong with carrying Bryce on his 5th year expiring and a 1st round rookie waiting in the wings. Let the rookie sit until the trade deadline, deal Bryce to a needy team at the time, profit.
    • Yeah they were bad QBs - but QB's that stayed on their teams for several years.  BY is better than all of those.
