QB Guru on Clausen, Luck, others...

there's no guarantee any draft pick will pan out, but why should that stop us from taking Luck?

Agreed. If there is even a 50/50 chance that he is going to be a very good NFL Quarterback, then we should take him. Top notch QB's are to valuable to pass up.

And if he doesn't pan out, maybe Clausen will eventually become a solid QB.

If my understanding is correct, Stanford plays VA Tech in a bowl game coming up soon. Bud Foster, DC for the Hokies, is considered by many to be a master of halftime adjustments. I'll be interested to see the 2nd half of that game, and how Luck manages against adjustments made to stop the things that have worked for him the previous 2 quarters. If it's a close game, could be very telling.

It amuses me how QB "coaches"/armchair QBs come out of the woodwork to blast guys who are struggling, jump on the bandwagon of guys in college, then the next year diss those same guys they touted and say "I told you he was bad at that."

It is called the vast world of fandome, sads at times but just reality. :)
