DITTO-

I thinky he Got "Williamed"

(means you sit the bench way to long spoiling great talent)

Seriously. I mean when they called his number, rare as it was, he got open and caught the ball, but you can only do so much getting put in like 5 or 6 plays a game, and Jake doesn't spread the ball around to anyone else but Smith or Moose, and he'll force it to them before he looks Jarrett's way (or anybody else for that matter)

This kid's looking like a bust and it's not really his fault. He didn't drop any passes thrown to him but it's not like he got that many chances anyway, he was inactive for a lot of games.

That's the tough part about evaluating starters who underachieve (especially WR's and TE's). Is it because Delhomme isn't throwing to them? Or are they not getting open and doing their part? It's hard to judge without the advantage of game film to review it all.

Draft reports all stated that Barnridge could develop into a great receiving TE. I've always wanted a damn Panther's TE in the Delhomme era to have over 500 yards receiving. I hope we can get one in the next couple years.

Jarrett has all the physicality that screams possession receiver. Honestly, 6"4' and 219? Comeon! We need many more balls to him. Especially when it comes to short routes. Get him running those nice little 6-7 yard routes. If our running game continues as well as it did this year, we really only need Jarrett to consistently make those short catches and with that, the chains will move easily. Play him under Moose and Smith. I hate to say it, but look at what Kurt Warner did all year with those little dink and dunk passes. That crap makes 2nd and 3rd down insanely easy.

Not really along the lines of more opportunities, but I desperately hope Godfrey develops into a top-tiered FS. He had some big blown plays this year.

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • This is why we need the Bank of America Stadium Ballroom.
    • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
