VT and BC are in the same conference as NC State. which the poster said was weaker than the Pac 10. USC and Cal are both in the Pac-10 which is the same as stanford. So by listing players consisting of majority Pac-10 and ACC players, you don't really make a point since those conferences were said to be weak in Strength of Schedule.

So tell me, which conferences are good? And you cant judge the conference from the players I mentioned when they played in it, based off of this year, like everyone is doing.

Actually, he has excellent arm strength. It's one of the assets people talk about when evaluating him. I think you're misinterpreting them saying he doesn't have a cannon, with his arm strength is only average or a little above. The fact is that his arm strength is probably on par with Manning, Brady and most other top end QB's.

Regardless, by listing all those players and their respective teams you didn't do them any justice either since the whole argument was strength of schedule and whatever conference they're in takes a huge part in their strength of schedule. in the SEC you see a lot of winning records, they win their nonconference games typically, whereas the ACC doesn't.

Their strength distributions also matter

the Pac-10, Big 10 and Big East are all top heavy. Once they've beaten the other 1 or 2 good teams, they're set for the year. there's also the lack of a championship game. You might not be seeing Oregon in the BCS Title if they had to play Stanford again.

the SEC and ACC and Big 12 have better distributions however the magnitude of the distributions aren't the same. It's tougher to win in these conferences. Could be an upset any week.

While the schedules and strengths of individual schools may not be the same year in and year out, the trends in the conferences are.

Actually i forgot what your point was compared to my point a while ago.. and i'm on too crappy of internet to open another tab and find out.. so i'm gonna just post this and hope it goes along with what i was supposed to be thinking.. for some reason i think i was just pointing out that the other guy was saying that the pac10 and acc are weak because he listed qbs from those conferences there and you brought up players from the same conferences saying they're strong so it's like, you can't really argue opinion using opinion.

Strength of conference is over-rated, IMO

Flacco played at Delaware

Roethlisberger played at Miami(Ohio)

Rivers played at NCState which is weaker than the PAC10

Favre played at SoMiss

Tom Brady couldn't beat out Drew Henson at Michigan

Joe Montana was primarily a backup
