No harbaugh coming here

wow some people are just f**king stupid.

Harbaugh is a college coach, before the Luck/Harbaugh scenario arose every single one of us would have scoffed at hiring a college coach.

Now he's the second coming of Jesus The Golden Calf of Bristol and JR is "cheap" if he doesn't hire Harbaugh. Jesus what a bunch of pussies

Yes, some people are fuging stupid for just accepting the bare minimum. Again, if you just enjoy being in the league, that's on you, I want to win. All he cares about is money. Make sure to keep buying his Bojangles biscuits though, pussy.

And if you did some searching before opening your useless mouth, you'd see that I was one of the first, if not the first to suggest we hire Harbaugh. Before all of the hype. Before Luck emerged as a top prospect. I had maybe heard of Luck once until this season, and I couldn't tell you, so it had nothing to do with him... So, nice job putting your foot in your mouth.

I didn't disrespect you or anyone else directly with my thread or post, but you come in this thread referring to me as a fuging idiot and a pussy, so fug you. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one but yours stinks and is unnecessary being that you poo out your mouth anyway. GFYS.

not saying he's 'cheap', just that he isn't investing in a Coach who has no NFL coaching experience. I think they view NFL Defensive Coordinators as Safer investments for some reason.

Harbaugh = gamble(plus Offensive minded, the horror)

NFL Defensive Coordinator = Less Risky Investment

Spurrier was the Harbaugh of 2002...the hottest head coach prospect of the day. How'd that turn out for Spurrier, or more importantly, the Redskins? I was worried then that we'd pull that trigger and was very happy when we didn't.

Harbaugh may be the next great NFL coach, but he could also be the next Spurrier. JR, Morrison, and Hurney are not going that high-risk route for a coach.

Spurrier tried to take the Spread Offense to the NFL

Harbaugh has a very complex NFL/Pro Offense at Stanford(more complex than Panthers run judging by number of plays Luck had to choose from).

Not the same, plus harbaugh is young and Hungry which is a good thing IMO.

If you factor in Fired Coaches, owed money by old teams. I have a hard time believing the Panthers are #5 in paying coaches.

Broncos for example, count what they owe Shannahan and they have to be up there.

I'd about bet he ommitted that part of that stat.

I think theres a real possibility that we are going after Harbaugh and have already talked. If you were JR and you were trying to divert attention what would you say when asked about him? Huh? who? yea we'd be cordial to him.. perfect response but maybe I'm giving him too much credit. And for those who dont think he will be a good coach: I disagree, he runs a pro-offense and already has a brother whos been largely successful which could help him immensely. Lets not forget that Jim was the all-pro, not josh. Dude wants to win and can easily get locker room respect

Seems like someone has been telling all of you that JR's head coach hires have all been NFL DC's and not to get your hopes up about him hiring a college offensive minded coach.

That was was advice indeed.

To be fair, that was before the fanbase got video evidence that the owner was senile.

John Fox is making 6 million this year, Meeks isnt cheap and it doesnt help that we are a small market team.. Its much easier for Denver to fire a coach than it is for us since they probably have twice the gross revenue that we do. poo, they probably paid there whole coaching staff from the money from The Golden Calf of Bristol jersey's

    • I mean, I get why the media and some NFL and Carolina fans are saying that we don't have a real chance, but as many Huddlers should know, we won't know what we really have in this team until probably late September or early October at the earliest. And I'm not trying to be a homer, I'm just looking at things historically. Obviously I'm also looking at Bryce's "palatable" improvement the last half of last season (including being the catalyst for hanging with and nearly beating the Super Bowl participants), and the new additions that we've acquired overall. I'm also looking at the beginnings of a culture change--even if perceptibly subtle--to some degree indeed may take a foothold if things start falling the right way. But, overall, I'm still cognizant of the realization that things could just go south and that perhaps that Bryce could revert and flop, or that D & D (Dan and Dave) are not the answer, but I still am not ready to say "we're far away." Hell we could be close, albeit with growing pains, but even if we're on the course to bring legit in 2026, then guys like Ramsey would be welcome additions this season. That's just my take on it. I don't think we'll know that we're far away until some point in the season. If we can compete in the South...who knows?
    • You guys remember when the narrative on here was that Bryce would be chronically injured in the NFL due to his size and Anthony Richardson would be super durable due to his? You remember when the narrative was that Bryce was physically incapable of throwing a ball further than 20 yards in the NFL? You remember “I’ll stop complaining when he throws for more than 200 yards and looks like an NFL quarterback”? You remember when 60 sacks was his fault and not the offensive line, slow WRs, and terrible scheme? Pepperidge Farm remembers. It will always be something for some people. Whatever insanity they come up with will be quickly dropped to move on to the next thing. Bryce could have an MVP Super Bowl winning season and they would complain that we can’t run the tush push with him. It will always be something.
    • For the Panthers fans still low on Bryce and demanding that he be a top-10 QB this upcoming season: What stat(s) will you need to see? Not the vibe you want, but rather what does he need to be top-10 in specifically? Passing yards? Completion percentage? Win-loss record? PFF grades? EPA? CPOE? Asking because this was asked before and... well... it ended up that the folks down on him didn't care about the numbers as much as they cared that they just couldn't get passed his size regardless of how he performed. It would be nice to get a straight-forward answer to that without the usual deflection and redirecting.
