Anyone else feeling hopeless right now?

Losing Harbaugh does not matter to me. I have a real disdain for college coaches. As my vet once told me, 'a dog is not a cat and a cat is not a dog. they are both animals but that is it'. To me a college coach is not a NFL coach or vice versa.

Losing Luck hurts...in 15 years, the team has never had a franchise QB. I'm sick of it, but, what can be done.

On the bright side, the NFL combine is coming and as I said in another thread, some unexpected players can rise there...anyone remember Joe Flacco (yet another QB the Panthers passed on)...he was little known QB from Delaware until he rose up the ranks at the Combine.

I'm more worried about the FO's ability to judge a QB...don't think they know how.

This is nothing. Depression was the time when we had Seifert and went 1-15. Half of Charlotte was on suicide watch. I was a big fan then and the feeling and sentiment is nothing like it is now. We only need to address QB and DT and we are a very competitive team. Look what Atlanta did in two years after Vick left that franchise in shambles. They couldn't give that head coaching job away and look at them now. Not to mention Atlanta fans are some of the most fickle fair weather fans around.

I personally would rather see us get a vet because I am not wowed about any of the QBs in the draft. I would probably trade down a couple picks and get a stud DT or get AJ Green.

We'll be alright. This might be a blessing in disguise. There's a very good possibility we either end up picking 1st again or can trade back into the pick and end up with Luck after all. And even if we don't, Matt Barkley is a much better QB than Gabbert/Newton/Locker/Mallet. Think Carson Palmer before his injury wrecked his career.

this. we are the front runners to get luck next if buffalo and zona takes a qb

I'm here in the Bay Area and the local sports talk radio is lit up with all the excitement over hiring Harbaugh. They're talking playoffs next year, next Bill Walsh blah blah. Sure it's kind of crazy but they have one thing that we don't - hope (at least for me).

We're the NY Jets when Manning went back to school. Indy went on win a SB and Jets were bad for years...

We've got no head coach and one of the worst QBs in Pickles I've ever seen. There isn't one person in the industry that gives Pickles a chance and I agree.

On top of that we have the leagues toughest schedule in a division where everyone has their franchise QB. We'll be at the bottom for years.

Luck was the one ray of hope - a franchise QB that puts us above everyone else in the NFC South and like that - gone. We'll never know if he was our saviour but at least he would have giving us the same excitement SF has right now.

Only hope is either a. lockout or b. we're so bad next year we get Luck anyways. Why would a potential HC come here anyway knowing we'll most likely lose all of our games?

Oh well. For the first time in years I will not be getting NFL package to watch my beloved Panthers here in Bay Area. Why would I?

Dude man up and grow a pair. We had one bad season, you act like we have sucked for 100 years. So we don't get Luck, big deal. He has yet to play a single NFL snap, if he was your only "ray of hope" you live a sad life. The draft is a crap shootl, we have no idea what we will get out of it. We haven't even had free agency yet. Our only hope is a lockout or we get Luck next year really? Is Luck your lover or something? He isn't the only QB in the world you know. If you honestly think every potential HC thinks we will lose all of our games you are incredibily stupid or totally ignorant. I have never seen grown man act like such little girls. I'm only 18, I'm still pretty much a kid but you guys seem like y'all have much more growing up than I do.
