Panthers considering holdovers from Fox’s staff

need to be careful about having too much holdover from the last regime. we need a breath of fresh air and a clean start. keeping too many from the fox era might be a distraction from the new direction rivera will be taking the team.

i actually wouldn't feel bad at all about none of the old guys coming back. just might do more harm than good to keep so many.

Looks like your pain is our pleasure in that Denver signed Fox.

I was reading the comments here, and was trying to get some insight as to your coordinators and assistant coaches.

As we all know, unless Carolina specifically decides to hold onto certain men, the coaches many times go with their former HCs.

I hope Jim Skipper follows Fox.............I figure that would not make anyone happy around here, and understandable.

Guess alot of phone calls will be getting done in the next few days.

Good luck guys. Hope Rivera brings you better days.

i hope we keep dwilliams and skipper.when rivera make his offical speech as our new hc.it sounded like to me he wanted to keep dwilliams, stewart, goodson?

Sounded that way to me too. I was hoping that we would keep Skipper so that Deangelo would want to stay, now I am worried that they both may want to go to Denver with Fox. I like Goodie and all, but he's no Deangelo Williams.

    • We had Darnold in a terrible situation for Sam Darnold and the team he's QBing. Darnold is best deployed as a high level game manager. He has elite throwing skills but he's disaster waiting to happen when he has to press and a QB has to press on a bad team. Seattle is a great spot for him surrounded with great weapons with an elite defense to lean on.  Swap him and Stafford last night and the Seahawks cruise while Darnold has 3-4 turnovers having to try to play hero ball for the Rams.
    • This picture was posted by the NFL back in September and shows Darnold and Maye at the front closest to the Lombardi trophy. I personally don’t believe in the “script” theory. I do believe that the NFL will influence specific games to get a more entertaining outcome at times. However, this is gaining some steam online and even got a response from NFL PR.
    • In the last 5 years, nearly 10% of the NFL's starting QBs (19% of the NFC QBs) were / are (at some point) on the Panther's roster.  Of those QBs, their 2025 win percentage (regular season) was (combined-- the Seahawks, Bucs, and Panthers) won 30 of 51 games--nearly 60%--in 2025.  At an average of 10 wins per season, a team has a better than 90% chance of making the playoffs.  (Heck, I nearly added Caleb Williams to this forumula since we basically gave the Bears their QB as well).
