Would trading for John Kitna be a good move?

For which offensive scheme? It's not just grab a QB. It has to be a QB that fits. If Rivera decides to go full blown WCO, it would be nice to have a QB with some experience in that system to mentor a young QB. If he decides to stay with a vertical passing O, it would likely mean a different option for a vet QB would be needed.

you're right... I think the 2 best options depending on type are Orton and McNabb..

neither of those are free agents,

He's okay but I'm sick of losing draft picks (unless it is a real steal). There are free agents available. Go get one Hurney!!!!!!

so when he posted that I was very curious who exactly Hurney could "just go get" without draft picks..

it's going to be a looooong process to get McNabb without a draft pick, because Skins are going to wait and see..

Orton will cost a 3rd (or rumors say)..

every other FA I've seen (unless I'm missing someone) would be useless to run an offense unless we somehow snag Hasselbeck..

Fox needs ILBs/MLB, whether he stays 3-4 or goes 4-3. He knows and likes Connor. He might trade Orton for our third rounder (the first in the third round) and trade their 3rd rounder for Connor. In other words, trade players and swap draft spots. He has many needs on D.

not sure if that's possible to trade players until the CBA is set..

the main knock, IIRC, was Kitna's arm on the deep ball.. he did a good job leading that team..

at this point where we sit.. if we can get any decent QB in here, it's a good move. it's only a stopgap, but one we need..

he won't deserve a high pick, so the Cowboys better be realistic.. then again, maybe they want to keep him around and ask something ridiculous..

I'd pull the trigger in a second for Orton if all they want is a 3rd.. and it won't be this years either..

I just don't want Foxy to get anything we have except for the 14 losses from this past year....he can have those.
