Glad to see Meeks stay, mistake letting Skipper go. Of course, we just might get someone better, who knows at this point, right?

We're not technically letting him go. He's no longer under contract and can do as he pleases. Since he and Fox have a good working relationship, he chooses to head to Denver.

Could mean we get Studeville.

As far as Stephen Davis he was our teams minority coaching intern this year and I would assume the whole purpose of that program is to groom new coaches. Don't know what hes capable of but it'd be good to keep him around

He said it would help him to want to stay. He never flat out tied the two things together.

Denver has Knowshon Moreno, Lance Ball, Correll Buckhalter and Laurence Maroney.

Frankly, I think if they pay him what he wants, he stays. It's pretty rare to see a guy leave a team just because they let his position coach go. Only example I can think of offhand is Jay Cutler (pissed and moaned when the Broncs let go of Jeremy Bates) but Cutler and Williams have pretty much nothing in common personality wise.

I thought the same thing, but then we look stupid for not trading when some "un-named" nfc team wanted to trade for him this year

I don't really think the "three solid RBs" reference meant anything specific to anyone's future.

I just think he was talking about Williams, Stewart and Goodson. Sutton may be good too, but he's not that well known outside of us fans.

^^^This. It wasn't a slight on anyone or like he was sayingthat one of our backs wasn't going to be here next year. He was just saying we have three very good backs, which we do. Even most Panthers fans don't know who Sutton is. I for one hope D-Will stays and I think that he will as long as we offer him a respectable amount of money. He just had a baby here and has been building strong ties to the community.

We are not losing for nothing. We got the value out of the draft pick, and the rookie contract he player under.

I get so tired of people pissing and moaning about free agents leaving, and blaming the front office for it. The players earn free agency.

Its not even a done deal that williams is gone, but even if he is, we still are loaded with talent at the rb position thank you fox and hurney.

btw...i think people are getting a bit pissed at skipper not getting talked to yet. they don't know who they are going to have at OC. why start talking to position coaches if we don't even know who the OC is going to be? at least let the OC have some say in who he wants around here.
