yes many are transplants but I could not care less.

Transplants are the only exceptions I would make.

If I had to move to PA for any reason I would still pull for the Panthers. It’s the NC natives that root for other NFL teams that piss me off.

natives piss me off more too. they aren't just for the steelers though. the transplants seem to love their team but not their city. seriously. they've told me that they moved here to get away from pittsburgh. for the weather most of the time, but reasons vary.
