Goodwill shopping...I found gold?

I hit Goodwill now about twice a month hunting for treasures and I believe I got a good one.

I found this original oil painting by Elizabeth Baron on canvas

This is her website some of her paintings sell for 2K.

I paid $25 for it

The painting is huge it's about 3 feet high..

I'm not going to try and sell it at the moment, hanging in my bedroom.

90% of my wardrobe is from the Goodwill.

I have Hollister, Abercrombie, Nautica you name it!

It is an awesome Goodwill in Clarksville, TN. It is near a military base so wifes chuck theirs husbands poo all the time, not to mention (I am a former soldier so I know) soldiers waste like CRAZY.

Goodwill is a great place to go. Now that there's one right around the corner from me, I'll go more often. My neighbor's boyfriend got a heck of a deal on a desk top computer. He only really wanted it for the case, but found out that it really decked out inside. (I guess Freedom GW has the computers?) A few upgrades and he made her a really nice system.

Everytime I go into a Goodwill, I end up with at least 3 polo shirts. (My main form of dress now-a-days.)

Another great place to shop in Charlotte is that place out on North Tryon. (The one that advertises the school uniforms.) Years ago, my ex-fiancee got a DK black dress for like $25! (IF it was a knock off, it was a really good one!)

I stop by Goodwill every couple weeks as well. How did you know you might have found something worthwhile? Did you know the artist name or work? Or did you just see it and think it was one of those items that was out of place at Goodwill?

As soon as I walked in I spotted that painting way across the store about ran too it, lol.. I saw it was signed and it was canvas so I claimed it and pulled out my trusty Droid did a quick search and BAM! I had a good one.My girlfriend was dont buy it it's too much and I said hell no this is mine, my money you dont work so keep quiet lol...btw she is happy with it now after I showed her the website.

I go by instinct and watch too many AE/History channel shows to know what too look for.

    • I mean I think its a bit disingenuous to call basically anyone here a casual fan. I don't think the casual fan creates a profile then logs into it, in the offseason, to comments on mundane offseason topics.. I dont think anyone on here would be considered a casual fan. That said, I get your point. My POV is from the player. They sign this contract, move their family because of these contracts. When Clowney came him, we basically had a coming home party for him.  So yeah, I get why we did it and I know that ultimately the owner doesnt 'save' money, but I can feel for the human side of the player, which is why I want them to get all they can while they can.
    • My guess is the NBA will either send Flagg back “home” to the Northeast in Brooklyn or Washington, or San Antonio so that they can keep building around Wemby. If I was a betting man I would take the odds on the Spurs. This definitely feels like a #1 pick that they will rig.
    • In fairness, she is ensuring she is talked about.  People really aren’t going out there way to bring her up.  It’s some weird poo.  She would end up getting talked about given her actions if she was 40. Bill realizing some of these high end “companions” got a game of their own.  That’s what I don’t think Bill saw coming.
