They raised the value of my house 25k. How much more a year in taxes is that gonna cost me?

I thought in this market it would be much lower.

Theres somewhat of an explanation in todays paper. The last revalue was 2003, before the boom and then bust.

Yeah, most of the larger (urban) counties reval every four years... but they are only required to do it every eight.

property taxes are such a crock of crap anyway! Why should my taxes go up because I choose to improve my property? Finish the basement, taxes go up. Build a deck, taxes go up! Sell me a damn piece of property and tax me on those bases...and be happy I choose to improve my property and my neighborhood!
