I just submitted my letter to the NBA

How can you let such atrocious officiating slide by without consequences. Bobcats and Pacers are fighting for the 8th seed and when it comes down to the most crucial possession of the game you just let it slide and don't make the right call. Lets not forget the officiating of the entire game was terrible and what about the inadvertent whistle that led to 4 Pacer points. Go back and Watch tape of the Bobcats Celtics game on Monday and look at what they considered a foul on Paul Pierce at the end of the game. Then you have Blatant contact on Jackson tonight and they don't call anything. And you wonder why people think the NBA is rigged? Because night in and night out Refs make horrendous calls that change the out come of games. If you fine players for arguing with refs about calls and coaches who question officiating, then you should hold officials to the same standards. You have films of every game and can look and evaluate the integrity of the officials. You also have the ability in games to use instant replay. How about you actually put it to use. I will still support players and teams, but you lost a supporter of The NBA. Things like this that are overlooked in sports are just unacceptable.

What do you guys think?

I think the NBA is by far the worst officiating out of all the major sports, and has been for a while. You'd figure after that one ref got busted gambling (and leaking other parties) they would try to fix things, but no, they won't. The fact is, superstars and more popular teams get the calls, always, because those teams are the ones that make the money I guess.

I also think the refs are sticking it to our team because of Jax and his constant battle with them.

Does anyone have any ideas to make our statement heard without hurting the teams earnings or getting arrested.

I thought a fan boycott until the NBA issues a proper explanation of their obvious war on our franchise and some kind of discipline when it comes to these bogus outcomes, but that could hurt earnings and take away support for our team.

Jack is right and you guys should be on HIS side.

Anybody have any ideas?

I agree. Its true, he needs to temper his emotions and not hurt us by getting ejected or missing games, but this is what fuels that fire. This is why a Jax or a Sheed Wallace in the past used to get so heated at refs and totally lose their minds. LOL. See how we feel as fans? Imagine being a competitor in the heat of battle and having this happen.

I've been to many Bobcat games and this has been going on way before Jack. I can personally remember a home game with the Wizards that made me really start to look at the NBA like pro wrestling.

Our team is actually better than they look at times.

David Stern is gonna run the league into the ground. He already has in some ways.

All the new rules that he has endorsed over the last few years have have taken the physicality (no hand checking) and the emotion (new tech rules) out of the game. Also, the fact that he hasn't done something about the bad officiating is a complete joke. And to think these refs actually had the nerve to go on strike a couple years ago - wanting higher pay.

Stern better be glad that LeWhistle, Wade, Melo ect, came into the league when they did. Because had they not, the NBA would be in serious trouble.

    • I'll say 6. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition and will do more to help the defense than anyone. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole there. For all the hype surrounding Sanders and Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
    • 2010 was worse. Not much worse but worse.
    • Lol since 2017 the Panthers are 47-85,    Also since 2017 the Giants are 40-91-1   Lol
