Cam Newton, QB, AuburnFrom the day he landed on the Big Board for the first time, I've said that Newton's physical skills and underrated ability as a passer could lead him all the way to the top of the draft. In Buffalo, what you have is an ideal foundation for his career. The Bills can keep Ryan Fitzpatrick around and develop Newton at a slower pace. But given Newton's total package of skills and size, and his proven ability as a guy who can adapt, deal with adversity and win, he represents a real possibility to land in the top five.

Oh and a special i told you so to Mr. Scot

So hes good enough to go three but not first. That doesn't make much sense considering the same situation could play out with Clausen as with Fitzpatrick. Not to mention I'd trust Carolinas coaching over the Bill's any day.

Excately!! If the Bills are in need of a QB and should take Cam at #3 then HELLO!!!!!! The Panthers have, if not, a bigger need at QB and there is not much difference between #1 and #3, escp in this draft.

Just because Kiper said it doesn't mean it is going to happen...

i.e. Jimmy Clausen

I know, but if Cam is moving that damn fast up the draft board just after an informal media workout, then some team will feel all tinglely in their jollies where the Panthers could wind up benefiting from it. Remember, once Luck stayed in school this QB class lost it's only bonafied top 3 QB choice. Now it appears one is emerging and what seemingly was a slim-to-none prospect in regards to trading down, now seems to have a little steam to it.

I hope Cam has a moster combine. If so, the team that could benefit the most is us!

So Cam fans, can Kiper be trusted or not? He was Jimmy Clausen's number one fan, something I'm sure you'd be pointing out if he said that Newton would, say, fall out of the first round and be available in the second.

Two diffrences between clausen and newton..Clausen was a loser in college and at best most likely be a good back-up.Cam's a winner and i don't this his "personality" will cause his stock to slide. Number two,Who do you think Has more upside clausen coming out or Newton?

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
