Paul will be there next year...

Glad this is finally done. Now we dont have to hear about this everyday of the week. New York still aint getting by Bos or MI-yayo this year.

Now we'll be hearing about the Knicks everyday. The most overrated franchise in American sports.

If they get Paul or D-Will next I'm killing Stern.

Oh, they'll get one of those two.

The New York Knicks have acquired Carmelo Anthony, sources told ESPN The Magazine's senior writer Chris Broussard on Monday night.

Completing the deal, Denver will get Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks' 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash while Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman will head to New York, according to the Denver Post.

Anthony wasn't at the Nuggets' practice on Monday night. Instead, the All-Star forward was in Burbank, Calif., taping a segment on "Conan."

Anthony, who has been the subject of intense speculation as Thursday's trade deadline approaches, stayed behind in Los Angeles following the NBA All-Star Game while his teammates gathered at the Pepsi Center.

Team spokesman Tim Gelt told The Associated Press that Anthony's absence was excused. Late Monday afternoon, Anthony tweeted: "Headed to Burbank to film THE CONAN SHOW."

Anthony has been the subject of trade talks ever since he declined to sign a three-year, $65 million extension with the Nuggets last summer. His biggest pursuers were the Knicks and New Jersey Nets.

I think the Knicks made a horrible trade. They should of just been patient and waited until the end of the season, Melo said he wants to be a Knick so they could of kept Felton and Gallinari and Mozgov and there draft picks if they would have just waited a few months. I feel that the Knicks ruined their chemistry. I do think that Sheldon Williams will get more playing time considering that the Knicks traded half of there front court away, which makes me very happy because I am a Duke fan. Felton is having a great year and now the Knicks are going to have to do something to get a young point guard because Billups is old.

I don't know how Billups will do in the Knicks offense. Usually Mike D Antoni has had a great athletic PG (Nash, Felton) so hopefully his age wont mess with the chemistry. Since the Knicks traded so many players they will have to build chemestry with each other. Look at what happened to the Heat this year when they were trying to find there teams chemistry.

At the end of the Day I think the Knicks made a horrible trade. Sure Melo is great but was he worth all of the young talent?

NBA uncertainty couldn't guarantee Melo would be able to leave. There might be a tag in the new CBA, why take the chance of not getting the guy you want

Ahh that is very true, I think the NBA does need a Francise tag like the NFL has. The NBA has to do something to make sure star players on crappy teams don't pull a Lebron or Bosh and Imagine if there was already a tag in the NBA? James and Bosh would still be with the heat, we probably wouldn't be hearing about Melo being traded because the Nuggets would just franchise him this year. If the NBA doesn't make a tag in their new CBA then your going to start seeing more star players acting like Lebron and Melo and the league will end up being 4 or 5 good teams with all stars and the rest of the league will have no chance because they wont be able to compete with the top teams.

Next we will see Chris Paul demand a trade to the Knicks and hopefully they will put the Tag in the new CBA before this happens so the Hornets will be able to keep Paul.

    • Torn achilles.  The reason he was out more than half of last season.
    • When the panthers are bad, we sell a shockingly low number of jerseys, and options become limited. In the good years, we had a lot of different options. I think T-Mac is going to have to play well on the field for his jersey to get produced in the FUSE template.
    • it's not the only way to be a threat, it's certainly important for certain roles in an offense and for certain type players and offenses.  as is the ability to get open quickly and generate easy throws.   as far as Renfrow goes, I have consistently said he is sort of his own thing and not really in comp w/ others here.  It's a niche role/job.  Anyone talking about something else from him isn't me.  Just depends if we want to do what he does and if he can still do it.  as far as AT goes, yeah, he does lower our ceiling given the % of our offense that goes through him and his limitations at this stage in his career.    He should be a roleplayer, much like Renfrow should be if we want to insert what he does into the O....not an O being run through him.    Renfrow isn't going to lower the ceiling if used correctly.  Niche assignments to move chains.   It's like a short yardage RB that comes in to pick a random play.  Renfrow is best at that 3rd and 4 type scenario IMO. AT lowers the ceiling because we build the pass game off an old WR that shouldn't be the focal point of a pass attack.  Not to mention, Bryce Young is practically tailor made to get the ball in the hands of YAC players.   So you need those type on the field.
