I gotta believe Gostisbehere is expendable at this point. Although both PP units will be without their QB.

Think they're talking to Burns and Roslovic right now?

Boom will run one of those PPs.  Maybe on burns and Roslavic. But again it’s been 6 hours.  Canes biggest moves will come from trades.

Yeah. It’s only day 1. Who knows what GMET has cooking.

Based on what I've seen so far I hope he throws himself in the fire..... HORRIBLE.

THEY COULD HAVE OFFER SHEETED THAT DUFUS FOR A 1ST AND 3RD.

this is what it looks like when a team is going all in now. Morrow was maybe a third defenseman. He also plays very soft. Let’s watch them on the ice before we go crazy.

How high are you?

No one's saying anything about Marrows sorry ass leaving.

WHY GET A LEFT HANDED D FOR 7.5 M WHEN YOU HAVE SLAVIN AND NIKISHIN AND MASSIVE HOLES AT RHD AND CENTER????

THIS ISN'T ALL IN its confounding and senseless

This what it looks like when you go all in to build a VW that will compete with Indy cars on Memorial Day. It's desperate and does nothing to build confidence in the room.

This ^^^^^ smells of desperation and stupidity.

Ton of money and capital spent on a position that wasn't a hole.

For a player who is questionable and dubious at best.

We got screwed by the cap going up too much.  Our main attraction was money.  But the cap going up more than expected means everyone has money.

Front office has to lean into winning now and can’t afford to wait multiple offseasons hoping someone like mcdavid will sign

I’m prepared to be whelmed

I will say that the past 2-3 offseasons have been pretty confounding and/or underwhelming and they turned out pretty well. I will withhold a lot of judgement for that reason but....I don't love it.

Well for two offseasons I tolerated it because this was supposed to be the big one...... im not impressed

    • If we do this(bring him back soon), it better be with the intent to jettison Hunt when he re-injures this. Otherwise, it will be insanely foolish from a short term and long term perspective.
    • I go back and forth on Canales. If he gets this team to the playoffs though, I'll be a believer.
    • The determination used for Spotrac and OTC are not clear to me. It does seem to heavily be weighted on playing time/starting but as we know that isn't always a determination of market value. BC I don't know if he will return to us. It depends on his recovery. That was a really bad injury to have for a guy that will be very close to the end of his career. I hope he recovers completely and we get 2-3 more years of excellent backup play from him. He has been quietly one of our most valuable lineman in a long time, despite being a backup. I am find keeping Corbett at the correct cost and as a backup. He has no business starting at Center anymore. Not to mention he can literally never stay healthy. I agree on EDGE and QB. Two biggest issues by a wide margin(amongst the PILE of other issues). We have a couple of young guys that look to be capable role player replacements for Jones/Wonnum, but it is time to shoot for the moon and get actual upper tier pass rushers into Carolina again.   Final note, when I am pooh-poohing these reserves that you are falling in love with, it's nothing special I am doing. A bit of "eye test" with a healthy dose of realizing that most backups are backups for a reason. Especially when they have gone through multiple free agent cycles and the league has resoundingly said, "Nah." Not everyone is Freddie Luvu. Most are Christian Rozeboom's.
